Twitter Tracker

June 26th, 2009

I think Twitter is perfect for me, since it’s only 140 characters at a time, and also pretty popular. I will probably be updating my twitter page more often than this one for now, so you can find me via my name or xpavement.

What happened to Feb/March?

March 27th, 2009

A new post! As usual, I’ve been busy, but since I’ve discovered Twitter, I am starting to like the microblog instead of the full blown blog, so you can find me there under xpavement as well. Spring is here, even though the Spring temps are not. I’ve been playing floor hockey with Mike & crew, and so far we are 1-1 as the “Devils”. The place we play at is way too small to be playing 6-6 hockey in. As soon as you get the ball, you got a stick in your face, so there is no chance for a breakaway. We had the fantasy baseball draft last week, and my team is looking pretty decent, but I am pumped up at the start of the Indians season, and the plan to watch them play the Cubs this season at Wrigley is still underway.

Winter Classic

January 6th, 2009

Happy New Year! It was even better than normal because this year’s Winter Classic was at Wrigley Field. Too bad that the Red Wings spoiled the game. Here is my pal and yours, Brendan Leonard on NHL.com about the game:

TCM

December 28th, 2008

I’ve been watching much more of TCM over the past few years, mainly because it’s great to be able to watch movies without any commercials. I don’t like everything on TCM, but it does give me a chance to see a lot of old movies that I may not have seen yet. TCM.com has this blog code, so I thought I would post it:

X-Mas Comes Early (For Me)

December 21st, 2008

I’ve got everyone’s presents ready for this Thursday, but the prices were so good on these new netbooks that I just couldn’t pass on getting a present for myself. These are nice little machines, and are not meant for a huge workload, but handle basic web browsing just fine. The model I got came with linux pre-installed, but I overwrote that with windows, since it’s just a little easier to use with a portable. Since memory is also cheap, I upgraded the memory from 1 to 2 gig. The hard drives in this thing are all SSD based ones, so there isn’t much room for applications and data, but I’ve got my basic set of programs on it, so it is all set. There are hard drive upgrades available, but the larger ones are costing just about as much as the price of the netbook itself, so I probably won’t upgrade that for awhile. Here is a picture of my new EEE-PC:

It’s back

December 20th, 2008

This blog is back, after getting messed up by my web host.  I’m going to try to get it back to the way it was as far as the different categories I had, but none of my old posts will be coming back. (Oh Noez!) I’m looking at a few different themes as well. Over the past year, I’ve been playing quite a lot Team Fortress 2. Below are my latest stats on my favorite server:

My TF2 Stats

As for everything else, I’m still at my same job and loving it. I’m hoping that I win one of my fantasy football leagues this year, and the Browns continue to disappoint. At least I got to see them beat the Giants live this year. I’m just about to head into xmas vacation time, so I thought I would finally try to get this back up and running.
